hey you guys. i wanna tell you a secret. lean in closer. ok, here it is... it's a few weeks early and there will be gentle reminders in the next few weeks. don't go crazy. remain calm. but just to let you know...THE BOYS ARE (almost) BACK!!!!!
and they have a west coast tour planned for may and june! i'll give you the dates for ALL the shows scheduled right now, but i wanted to announce the first of VERY few san francisco shows for quite possibly the whole summer. plus they are bringing Souleye with them. this kid is an amazingly vibrant MC with energy enough to put the whole dance floor to shame! do not miss seeing this kid throw down with BLVD. it's a winning combination. here are the goods:

DETAILS: After a three-month Colorado retreat playing shows and producing new material for their upcoming fall release on Cyberset, the San Francisco-based trio BLVD returns to the Bay Area for a one-night event at the Poleng Lounge in the Western Addition. The show is part of a West Coast tour which will see the band playing Lightning in a Bottle (lightninginabottle.org) and the Joshua Tree Music Festival (joshuatreemusicfestival.com), in addition to venues in Portland, Phoenix, Eureka, Santa Cruz, and Los Angeles. The tour is a collaboration with Colorado-based MC Souleye, who recently performed with BLVD at the annual Gem & Jam Show in Tuscon, as well as the Trilogy Lounge in Boulder. Also playing will be San Francisco veteran Djs and long-time collaborators James Christopher (lowprolounge.com) and Majitope (majitope.com).

I got to see after-after hours at Vegoose and open up for them last time (and I think first time) they rocked the desert. Souleye is definately deliciously sick verballist. Not to be missed.
