can you feel the anticipation in the air? i've been giddy all week long. this is a show where i am truly EXCITED! and i don't think i'm the only one that feels this way! the hometown crew are all in a frenzy because this is not just the usual epic BLVD show....this is a show of fantastical proportions. let me lay it out for you:
first off, this the glorious debut release for "Digital Disorder". it's time to see all these awesome tunes played live by the boys. we also have the great fortune of watching the amazingly organic collaboration of BLVD with Souleye. these two forces of nature have come together to create new, fresh, and slamming sounds.
second: the fierce sounds from the LowPro Lounge DJs are bringing it to slim's all evening long. Majitope and DJ James Christopher are joining the bill to add their own brand of dance floor awesome to the show. LowPro and BLVD have had been working together for many years to create great shows, tours, and community.
and lastly, but never leastly (is that even a word?): the premiere of the short film "7 Minute Style". i don't even know what to say about this. i've always wanted to see this film and i can't believe it's actually going to happen. we've heard the rumors for years. it almost seemed like some big inside joke. but now the dream becomes reality. and on the "big screen" no less. we all get to witness the fitness of this legendary film. if you haven't seen the trailer, you can check it here:

BLVD with MC Souleye
A spontaneous collaboration has led to a full-time partnership between four young emerging artists, as Colorado-based MC Souleye joins instrumental San Francisco trio BLVD on the road and in the studio. Consistent West Coast touring has brought this collaboration to the vanguard of the live electronica movement and continues to break down boundaries between dance club culture and the live music community. The synthesis of these two scenes is at the heart of BLVD's primary focus since the band's inception in 2003. BLVD's live interpretations of what are generally considered to be electronic musical forms blend naturally with MC Souleye's conscious and rhythmic approach to rapping. Together they create a dynamic sound with broad appeal.

DJ James Christopher a.k.a Chris Lacek, got his start in Atlanta GA with Glen Goodhand, producing 'ESP 101 (a.k.a the Pyramid, the Church), Atlanta's original rave weekly. A resident DJ at Atlanta's D 'n' B weekly "Sessions," Chris moved to San Francisco in the winter of 2000. Since then he has founded the Lowpro Lounge (with partner J.Tonal) performing worldwide. Chris's Drum 'n' Bass band Rootscience featured Z. Velmer and D. Murphy of Sector 9 and SF diva Audio Angel. His other past projects include ZIN (feat J.Tonal) and Camp (feat. MC Naseous and JLS). Chris has performed worldwide with such acts as Sound Tribe Sector 9, DJ Logic, Particle, Abstract Rude, Mykah Nyne and performs regularly with MC's Audio Angel, Axiom MC and Manny Vibes. Bringing an energy closer to a rock show than a DJ set, Chris plays a mix of exclusive tracks, ranging from liquid funk to ragga jungle. Look out for James Chris on Lowpro Lounge Recordings remix series in 2007, featuring remixes of BLVD Hamsa Lila, STS9, Beatropolis, Djuny and Lotus .

Majitope is a musical combination of Majikal Isotopes.Master of his uniquely cultivated brand of GardenHouse, He conjures elements of Dub, Tech, Bass, Funk, Minimal, and House with grand overtone influences of Jazz, Space, Earth, and Spirit. For 15 years, he has honored the art and magic of two records, together, telling their own story. Known as the premier Sunrise Specialist, Majitope has purveyed historical sets from Xingolati, Symbiosis, Raindance, Burning Man, Hawaii, Seattle, Portland, Colorado, New Mexico, Wisconsin, California and every club warehouse street fair and bar in San Francisco. Majitopes All Vinyl narrative is a journey not to be missed.

Until now, it has been a matter of legend how Dave Lazer and his DJ
sidekick Dick Rictor challenged the ancient laws of Tai Bo.
It began with Lazer's new vision of how to invigorate the
cardiovascular system. But the guardians of the old ways and their
evil assassins would stop at nothing to keep Lazer from teaching his
high-voltage workout program to the public. Would his
ultra-compelling, full-body style be enough?
The Seven Minute Style is a serious Tae Bo movie.
